How Many Platies Can Live in a 5 Gallon Tank?
You can fit 2 platies in a 5 gallon tank. However, I don’t recommend a 5 gallon tank for your platies because they breed easily. Once they start breeding, your platies will quickly outgrow their 5 gallon tank. Ideally, you should get a minimum tank size of 10 gallons for your platies.
How Many Platies Can Live in a 10 Gallon Tank?
You can have 4 platies in a 10 gallon tank. Keep in mind, platies breed easily. To prevent overcrowding, be prepared to transfer your platies to another aquarium when they start breeding.
How Many Platies Can Live in a 20 Gallon Tank?
You can have 8 platies in a 20 gallon aquarium. Keep in mind, platies breed easily. I suggest starting off with less platies so there is room for baby Platies in your 20 gallon tank.
How Many Platies Can Live in a 30 Gallon Tank?
You can fit 12 platies in a 30 gallon aquarium.
How Many Platies Can Live in a 55 Gallon Tank?
You can have 22 platies in a 55 gallon aquarium.
How Many Platies Can Live in a 30 Litre Tank?
You can have 3 platies in a 30 litre tank.
How Many Platies Can Live in a 60 Litre Tank?
You can have 6 platies in a 60 litre tank.
What Size Tank Do You Need for 1 Platy?
One platy will need a minimum of 2.5 gallons of aquarium space. Even though that is their minimum requirements, I suggest housing platies in at least a 10 gallon fish tank.
What Size Tank Do You Need for 2 Platies?
For two platies, you can house them in a 5 gallon tank however they will quickly outgrow their 5 gallon tank once they start breeding. I highly recommend housing two platies in at least a 10 gallon tank.
How Many Platies Should Be Kept Together?
Platies are social fish. They thrive when kept in a group. Ideally, you should keep a minimum of 4 platies. If you are interested in breeding platies, get 1 male and 3 females.
How Many Platies and Guppies Can Live in a 10 Gallon Tank?
In a 10 gallon tank, you can keep 2 platies and 4 guppies. Guppies and platies are good tank mates and will live happily together.
If you want your platies to breed, get 1 male platy and 1 female platy. For guppies to breed, get 1 male guppy and 3 female guppies or 2 male guppies and 2 female guppies.
Don’t worry, guppies and Platies will not breed with each other. They may try but they will not be successful.
How Many Platies and Guppies Can Live in a 20 Gallon Tank?
You can have 4 platies and 7 guppies in a 20 gallon tank. Guppies and platies are good tank mates and will live peacefully with each other in the same tank.
If you want your platies to breed, get 1 male platy and 3 female platies or 2 male platies and 2 female platies. For guppies to breed, get 2 male guppies and 5 female guppies or 1 male guppies and 6 female guppies.
Don’t worry, guppies and platies won’t interbreed with each other.
How Many Platies and Swordtails Can Live in a 20 Gallon Tank?
In a 20 gallon tank, you can keep four platies and three swordtails. Platies and swordtails make excellent tank mates and can coexist peacefully in the same tank.
If you want your swordtails to breed, get 1 male swordtail and 2 female swordtails. For platies to breed, get 1 male platy and 3 female platies. Do know that platies and swordtails can interbreed with each other.
